Vision, Ethos and Values
Our values are the foundation on which we build our schools and we expect members of our community to embrace these in all that they do.
- Achievement and Ambition
- Becoming and Belonging
- Courage and Compassion
What does this mean for our schools?
Achievement and Ambition
We aspire to offer every one of our students the best possible educational experience leading to exceptional outcomes.
We want our students and staff to achieve more than they ever thought was possible.
We want our students to aim high in whatever their chosen field and will ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to fulfil their dreams.
Through our curriculum, we encourage curiosity so that students truly want to discover and learn.
We want our students to be leaders of their own lives, in their communities and to work as citizens of the world to make positive changes for themselves and others.
Becoming and Belonging
We recognise that our schools will help to shape the next generation.
We build self-confidence and resilience so that our young people can flourish and prosper in all aspects of their lives.
We support our students with exceptional pastoral care to help them make sense of the world around them and enable them to develop resilience so that they are in control of their own physical and mental well-being.
We are clear about what is acceptable behaviour and what is unacceptable and support our students to become responsible young adults who have high expectations of themselves and others.
Our schools are places where we welcome and celebrate diversity, where every member of the community feels a sense of belonging.
We reach out into our community of families and beyond and embrace other partners to support our students.
Courage and Compassion
We are courageous in our thinking and encourage everyone to think creatively, practise new skills and push beyond any limitations that we may place on ourselves or have imposed on us by others.
We may not always succeed but we will learn from our mistakes and build on this experience to achieve even more in the future.
We treat everyone with kindness and understanding, creating an environment where bullying and intimidating behaviours are unacceptable and we will expect the same from anyone visiting the school.
Our students are encouraged to take courageous steps, to become leaders, to speak out against injustice and to stand by what is right even in the face of pressure from others.
We encourage our students to think about what they can do for others in their schools, their communities and beyond.
